THE LIFE OF PASTOR PAUL ADEYEMI AKAPO
Pastor Paul Adeyemi Akapo was the General Superintendent of a fast growing church, Glory Glow International Church in Baltimore, USA. He was a son of the Late Evangelist Richard G. Akapo who was a pioneer of indigenous Evangelist Campaign in Nigeria.
Pastor Paul Adeyemi Akapo for more than three decades had served in various church leadership positions both in Africa and in United Stated of America. He attended Ibadan Polytechnic and became a teacher at Jibowu High School.
About 30 years ago, and while still serving as the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State and in U.S. Pastor Akapo was widely known in the Evangelical circle for his strong emphasis on holiness and authentic Christian living. He was the Senior Pastor of GOFAMINT Pacesetters church, and urban church-planting project that was poised to reaching the elites in the city of Lagos. Because of God’s divine presence during his ministrations, he became a regular speaker in many conferences around the country.
He was a Graduate of The Gospel Bible College (Ministerial Certificate), Faith Theological Seminary in Nigeria (B.Th), and the International School of Evangelism in Nigeria. He graduated with his Masters Degree in Theology from Redeem Bible College.
He also attended many leadership Seminars and conferences around the world. He was a church planter, a Christian educator and highly respected among church leaders for his purposeful leadership style, which often was the reason why many pastors voluntarily choose him as mentor and ministry counselor. From his church base, he served the body of Christ all over the world through conferences and in-door revival programmes across churches.
He was an erudite teacher of the world. He lectures in The Redeemed Bible College in the U.S.A. He taught Theology, Counseling and Homiletics programs. He was an Alumni of Billy Graham School of Evangelism. He was a member of Morris Cerullo School of Ministry. He was also a member of the United Christian Church and Ministerial Association in Cleveland. He was the General Superintendent of Glory Glow International Church, Baltimore, Maryland, in U.S
Pastor Paul Akapo had a large heart for a Global Intercontinental Ministry that spans over racial and ethnic boundaries. Since he sojourned to the Unites States over two decades ago, He served as the Resident Pastor of GOFAMINT, Washington D.C., Resident Pastor GOFAMINT - Los Angeles California; and supported the establishment of GOFAMINT, Atlanta; Georgia; Australia: and Calgary, Canada. He was the pioneering Pastor of The Gospel Faith Mission International (House of Change, Baltimore) in Maryland in 2003. In 2013, God led him to start a great ministry called Glory Glow International Church of which he was the General Superintendent; he was married to Pastor Mrs. Esther Akapo and blessed with God-fearing children before passing onto glory on November 18th, 2016.
The ministry of Pastor Paul Akapo was passion oriented, Biblically patterned towards families and community. It was a total ministry for a total man. Through the ministry of Pastor Paul Akapo in over three decades, lives of people across the globe have seen the transformatory matchless grace of God in a dynamic way.
